Prevention Methods

  1. Abstain- effective way to avoid STIs is avoiding sex.
  2. Stay with one uninfected partner.
  3. Wait & test- with a new partner test prior engaging sexually.
  4. Get vaccinated in the clinic to protect yourself from STIs.
  5. Use condoms consistently and correctly.
  6. Communication- prior any serious sexual contact.
  7. Consider Pre-Exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
