LSD

LSD is one of the most potent, mood-changing chemicals. It is manufactured from lysergic acid, which is found in the ergot fungus that grows on rye and other grains.

  1. Also known as: “acid”, sold on the street in small tablets, capsules, or gelatin squares.
  2. LSD causes a serious disconnection from reality. LSD users calls an LSD experience a “trip” typically lasting twelve hours or so.
  3. An intense, altered state transforms into disassociation and despair.

- Loss of appetite 
- Sleeplessness 
- Dry mouth
- Tremors 





- Delusions 
- Visual hallucinations
- An artificial sense of euphoria or uncertainty 
- Distortion of one's sense of time and identity 
- Impaired depth perception 
- Impaired time perceptions
- Severe, terrifying thoughts and feelings 
- Fear of losing control
- Panic attacks 
- Flashbacks, or recurrence of the LSD trip, often without waning long  after taking LSD 
- Severe depression or psychosis
